LECOMPTE - Services for Marverine "Monkey" Hickman will be at 3:30 p.m. Monday in Lamourie Baptist Church with the Rev. James A. Sample officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park under direction of Hixson Brothers, Alexandria.

Hickman, 81, of Woodworth died Friday, March 16, 2001, in Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital.

She was a charter member of Lamourie Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday school teacher and church treasurer. She was very active in the WMU.

She was an artist and an art instructor for many years. She was a native of Oak Grove.

Survivors include her husband, Bennie Hickman of Woodworth; two sons, Bennie Dwain Hickman of Beaumont, Texas, and Grady R. Hickman of Baton Rouge; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. until time of services Monday in the church.

Memorials may be made to the Lamourie Baptist Church, 810 Hwy 470, Lecompte, LA 71346.
