Mrs. Effie Evans—Mrs. Evans 41 year old resident of South Park
died Tuesday in a Charleston hospital. She underwent an operation last Saturday. The body was removed to the Noble Long mortuary. Surviving are her husband, Charles E. Evans, three sons, Norvel, Charles Jr. and David and four daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Eskins, Misses Eskue and Marge Evans and an infant daughter all at home. Two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Smith of Hinton, Mrs. Rosie Ward and four brothers, Frank Bowles, Ramp; Harvey and Alfred Bowles, Sandstone and Akins Bowles of Green Sulfur Springs.
Funeral services will be held 2 pm Thursday, at the Kanawha city Holiness church with Rev. Lewis Mauck officiating. The body will remain at the funeral home until time of the funeral. After the services it will be removed to the home at South Park, where it will remain until Friday, when it will be taken for burial in Alderson cemetery.
