Dewey George Hissom, 53, livestock dealer of 1925 Roxalana Rd., Dunbar, died at 1:30 p.m. yesterday in Thomas Memorial Hospital after an illness of almost four years.
Mr. Hissom was stricken April 11, 1948 while at services in Hissom Holiness Tabernacle, of which church he was a member and superintendent of the Sunday School.
He was born April 22, 1898, in Monroe County, O. His parents were Henry Hissom and Althena Fagert Hissom.
He was a veteran of World War I and a brother of Rev. Earl G. Hissom, Kanawha County minister.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 2:30 p.m. in Hissom Holiness tabernacle conducted by Rev. Okey Johnson and Rev. Marvin Haynes. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial park under direction of Cunningham mortuary.
