BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Woods was born Sept. 17, 1932 in Shawnee, Oklahoma and had been a resident of Pampa since the early 1950's. He served in the U. S. Air Force during the Korean War. He married Juanita Armstrong on May 17, 1953 in Conway, Texas. She preceded him in death on in 1999. Harley later married Ruby McCain on July 22, 2002 in Wheeler. He worked for Moran Drilling Co., Leonard Hudson Drilling Co., Service Drilling Co., and Caprock Petroleum for many years as a tool pusher, consultant, and superintendent. Harley was a former member of the Pampa VFW Post #1657, American Legion, and the Loyal Order of the Moose.

SURVIVORS: Wife: Ruby Woods of the home; 2 daughters: Debbie Weatherwax and Kathy Woods, both of Pampa; 2 stepdaughters: Brenda Winship of Clute, TX and Linda Choate of Enid, OK; a brother: Frank Woods of Shawnee, OK; 13 grandchildren: Tommy, Carye, Christopher, Stephen, Tiffany, Michelle, Jessica, Chris, Christina, Jacqueline, Jeremy, Jason, and Ashley, 7 stepgrandchildren, and 21 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Houston and Charlcie Woods, 2 sons, Harley Douglas Woods and Houston D. Woods, 4 brothers, Leonard, James, Julius, and George Woods, and 2 sisters, Anna Mae and Evelyn.
