CHARLOTTE - Mildred M. Roscoe, 93, died peacefully Friday evening, July 8, 2011, in Burlington Health & Rehabilitation Center where she had resided since December 2002.

"Millie," as known to family and friends, was a devoted mother, grand- mother, and great-grandmother. Millie was born in Charlotte on June 18, 1919, the daughter of the late Edward and Daisy Bessette.

Millie married Raleigh Booska on June 17, 1940. They lived in Charlotte in the house Millie was born in. Millie was a homemaker and did laundry for the residents of Charlotte. Raleigh died in November of 1973.

Millie met and married Francis Roscoe on Feb. 1, 1978, and they worked together as janitors at St. Michael's College.

Millie loved working with the young students.

Francis died July 13, 2003.

Raleigh and Millie had three children, Robert (Bobby), who died tragically in 1962; and daughters, Deborah (JR) Gauthier of Milton, and Dianne Booska of Burlington. Millie was the proud grandmother to, Matthew, Marshall and Mitchell Bergeon, Amanda (Jeff) Rounds, and Amber Thibeault. She was so excited and absolutely adored her two great-granddaughters, Nicole and Jazmine Rounds.

Millie is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Millie was predeceased by her brothers, Tom, Cliff, Wilson, and Solon Bessette; and sisters, Grace and Louise Garrow.

Millie lived several years at Fern Hill prior to moving to Burlington Health. Millie will be missed by her family. Mom, we love you very much. We know you are now in peace.

There will be no wake per Millie's wishes. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 13, 2011, at 11:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel. Corbin & Palmer Funeral Home, 9 Pleasant St., Essex Jct. in care of arrangements.
