Francis Allen "Coonie" Collins was born on December 5, 1897 in New Albin, Iowa to John Edward and Anna Laura (Quillin) Collins. He married Laura Zweibohmer Stephan in 1936 in La Crosse, Wisconsin. He worked for his father and brothers for the Collins Produce Company for 40 years in Spring Valley, Minnesota. He died on June 10, 1965 in Cannon Falls, Minnesota from a lung defect at the age of 67. He is buried at St. Pius V Catholic Cemetery in Cannon Falls, Minnesota.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by is five brothers, Philip (Alice) Collins of Pine Island, MN, Leo (Lillian) Collins of Owatonna, MN, Clete (Mina) Collins of Spring Valley, MN, Walter (Lillian) Collins of Blooming Prairie, MN, and Mike (Charlotte) Collins of Rochester, MN; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded death by his parents, and an infant sister, Mary Lucinda.
