AT REST
Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock occured the funeral of Mrs. Wm., Kobus, who passed away Tuesday evening at 7 o'clock. She was sick only 10 days, and with all the good care that the doctors, nurses and friends gave her, the silent reaper whose name is Death, claimed her as his victim. To say that she was a devoted wife and loving mother is only expressing it lightly. Her whole mind and soul's ambition was to make her home happy and care for her children. She was a woman whom it was a pleasure to meet, and a friend of everyone, always willing to share their troubles with them. She bore her pain and suffering without murmur and always speaking words of encouragement to those about her. Just a few hours before she passed away she called her beloved ones to her bedside and told each one separately that she thanked them for what they had done for her and giving them a loving advise as how to live to meet her again; then selecting her hymns for her funeral, bade them all goodbye. She was a member of the First Christian Church. She leaves to mourn her passing away her grief-stricken Mother, Father, Husband, and four children, Horace, Johnny, Dorothy and Arthur Kobus, and a multitude of friends.
