Aaron graduated from Wirt County High School and owned his own farm. He was a mechanic - Sims Garage - and worked for State Construction, Inc in Huntington, WV, West Virginia Department of Highways, and Joint Seal, Inc., in which he owned a share. Aaron farmed, raising corn, hay, and cattle. The Sims Charlois Farm owned 30 half-Hereford and 18 Three-fourths or better Charlois, which was the first of this breed in Wirt County.

AARON SIMS

Aaron Sims, 70, of Palestine died Feb. 19, 2000, at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital.

Survivors include two sons Jonathan Sims and Tim Sims , both of Paestine; one daughter Kathy Lynch of Miner Wells; one brother, Joseph Sims of Rockport; one sister, Yuvonne Hall of Vieena; and six grandchildren.

Services were held 2 p.m. at Matheny Pomeroy Funeral Home, Elizabeth. Burial in Palestine Cemetery/Thorn Addition.
