She was a charter member and past president of the 1950 Study Club, and a delegate to the Dallas Federation of Women's Clubs. She also belonged to the Sunshine Club and the Women's Chamber of Commerce.
She gave a lot of her time to the children's wards at Parking Hospital and assisted in the fund campaign for polio and Cerebral palsy. Survivors are her husband; her mother, Mrs. Bessie Chandler, and a sister, Mrs. Kathryn L. Carter, all of Dallas. (Source: Dallas Morning News, January 02, 1954)
