Born in England, John migrated to South Carolina as a young man. He was a Wesleyan Missionary, and he died sometime between 1840-1847.
The Rev. William Arnold was sent by the Wesleys (Methodists) prior to 1791 into the American South to preach to the Settlers and Indians.
He had six sons and two daughters:
