Henry Hallstein died at age 78 at Three Oaks Nursing Home
He was the son of Elmer and Edith Savory Hallstein in Minier, Illinois. He married Edith Flesher on Oct. 24. 1927. She survives.

Also surviving are three daughters, Elizabeth Worth , Shirley Swartz and Judy Winterland. A brother preceded him in death. He has 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
He was a graduate of Lexington High School, he owned and operated Hallstein Ford Sales in Lexington for 30 years, retiring in 1962. He also was Lexington tax assessor for 10 years.

He was a member of the Lexington Community Club and Lexington Park District. He was also a past patron of the Ionic Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, past president of the Lexington School board, chairman of the board of the Lexington Historical Society, past master and member of the Lexington Masonic Lodge.
