Mrs. Betsy Hefner passed away quickly after a long and painful illness at the age of 80 years.
"Aunt Betsy" as she has long been known by her relatives and many friends was born Fulton County, Ohio. She was baptized in 1884. She married Peter Hefner March 27, 1832 by Jacob Spawr, a justice of the peace. Their union was blessed with 9 children, four dying in infancy and one later on, leaving 2 sons and daughters surviving her.
She died in full faith in the redeeming power of the lord Jesus Christ after having lived and enjoyed a long life of Christian faith and hope. A large concourse of sorrowing friends in the heartfelt sympathy for the bereaved ones were in attendance at the funeral.
