Charles' parents were John and Rachel (Brown) Arnold and he was born & raised in Brown County, Illinois. On 31 Mar 1880 Charles married Mary Ann Riggle. According to records they had one child, Jennie Sophia Arnold. Charles moved to Minnesota and he and Mary Ann were divorced. On 02 Feb 1884 Charles married Georgianne Varney. They had five children, three of whom survived infancy. Agnes, Mabelle and Frances.
