Mrs. Harold Churchill

Lois Evelyn Hawn was born in the village of Rock Elm Feb. 20, 1894 to Jay and Carrie Hawn and died at St. Mary's hospital, at Rochester, Minn., March 19, 1946, at the age of 52 years and 27 days.

Her entire life was spent in the Rock Elm community except when she attended Normal school at River Falls and when she later taught at Downsville.

On March 28, 1918, she married Harold Churchill, at which time they moved onto the farm at Rock Elm where they have since lived. To this union were born four children, Jean, Grace, Donald and George.

As a young girl she joined the Methodist church at Rock Elm, where she has been a faithful member of the choir, Ladies' Aid and Sunday school teacher until the time of her death.

She leaves to mourn her loss her husband and four children; also two sisters, Mrs. Vernon Kilgore and Mrs. Arnold Reinkey, and a large number of other relatives and friends.

Her sincere devotion and loyalty to this community will be an inspiration to carry on by her many friends who will cherish her memory.

Funeral services were held March 21 at the home and the Rock Elm church and were largely attended. Internment was made in Poplar Hill cemetery, Rock Elm. Rev. B.A.J. Meboe officiated.
