Mamie Youngblood Harrison was born 5 Aug 1906 on a farm at Brice, Hall
Co, TX. The family eventually moved into Clarendon, Donley Co, TX so
that the children could get a better education than the one room
school they were attending in Brice. After graduation and attending a
secretarial school, Mamie moved to Phoenix, AZ and married Frank
Guthrie Harrison on 31 Jan 1931. They eventually settled in Amarillo,
TX and had two children. Their son, Billy Frank Harrison died 5 Nov
1994 on a hunting trip in Colorado.
In her later years, Mamie Harrison moved to Austin, TX to live with
her daughter. She died in Austin on 19 Jan 1999 and was buried next
to her husband Frank Guthrie Harrison and his parents in the Dreamland
Cemetery of Randall Co, TX.
