Special note (updated April 22, 2012 with clarifications by R. Fabor):

Obituary for Clara Summers - the married name in the obituary is Bernard (Fairfield Ia. Daily Ledger, Tuesday, April 13, 1948. Pg. 8 Col. 4.) , but the headstone is "Benard".

Am changing the memorial surname to "Bernard" as it now appears that the headstone inscription was engraved as "Benard" in error (that happens from time to time).

First husband was James Wesley Tanner. Second marriage was to James Bernard (married about 1924, he died sometime prior to 1930).
