Hank Allen Smith, 2 day old infant son of Nathan and Marsha Smith, went to be with Jesus on July 5, 2011. Hank's service was held at 6:00 pm Wednesday July 6th, 2011 at the Jim Ned Valley Church of Christ with interment at McBee Cemetery in Ovalo.
Hank was born on Sunday, July 3rd 2011 at Abilene Regional Hospital. At the end Hank was able to bring together a loving family, a loving church family, and many of his parent's friends. Hank's service was a testament of the good will of so many.
In the last paragraph of a letter written for Hank, Nathan and Marsha wrote, "You looked at us for the first time with your beautiful, loving eyes, and we knew you loved us too. And though it is hard to believe, we love you even more now. You are in heaven as our little angel. You have our hearts for forever."
Hank is survived by his parents, Nathan and Marsha Smith of Abilene, paternal grandfather Alan and wife Teresa Smith of Burnet, paternal grandmother Jana and husband John Foster of Ballinger, paternal great grandparents Bobby and Sharon Smith of Ballinger, Ray and Barbara Knight of Ballinger, maternal grandparents Allen and Merry Crawford of Sweetwater, maternal great grandmothers June Crawford of Sweetwater, Erma Tomlinson of Sweetwater, uncles Blake and wife Kenzie Smith, Ryan and wife Robin Smith, and David Crawford, aunt Nancy and husband Alex Espinoza, three cousins Wyatt, Walker, and Paiton.
