LOOGOOTEE, Ind. - Eugene J. Strange, 70, died at 6:10 a.m. Friday at Memorial Hospital in Jasper.

He was a retired telephone repairman and electrician.

He was a World War II and Korean War veteran, and a member of St. John Catholic Church, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9395 and American Legion Post 120.

Surviving are a stepdaughter, Beverly Allen Inman of Loogootee; two stepsons, Mark and Joseph R. Allen, both of Loogootee; three sisters, May Kidwell and Catherine Colvin, both of Loogootee, and Genevia Bienkowski of Florida; seven grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

His wife, Catherine Spalding Allen, died in January.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. John Catholic Church, with burial in the church cemetery, where the Loogootee American Legion will conduct military rites.

Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Lee Funeral Home, where a rosary service will be at 6:30 p.m.
