Jack Bertrand Eisiminger, 87, died July 4, 2011 at Mennonite Manor, South Hutchinson.
He was born July 7, 1923 in Hutchinson, the son of Bertrand & Chloie Coleman Eisiminger.
A lifetime area resident, Jack attended Partridge High School. He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in World War II, a member of American Legion Lysle Rishel Post #68 and Farm Bureau Association. He was a farmer and on the side he spent many years as a grave digger for numerous rural Reno County Cemeteries.
On October 13, 1951 he married Dorothy Marie Novotny in Bentonville, Arkansas. She survives. Other survivors include a daughter, Carol Aardal and husband, Gary, Lynnwood, Washington; son, Walt Burling and wife Kristin, Partridge; two grandchildren, Holly and Erik; two great-grandchildren, Spencer and Milan, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Elmer, Kenneth, and Eldon; and four sisters, Helen Brooks, Ruth Griffin, Virginia Perkins, and ChloAnn Stiggins.
Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum with Jim Holmes presiding. Friends may sign the book from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Sunday and from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home and Crematory, Hutchinson.
