James Owen "Jimmy" Prewitt, 53, of Franklin, died May 29, 2010, in Franklin. The Louisville native was a transmission builder for B&B Tire. He was a member of Washington Meredith Masonic Lodge No. 355 F&AM and Poplar Springs United Baptist Church. He was a son of the late Glendel "Glen" Prewitt and Lucy Vincent Wright, of Franklin, who survives. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Johnny and Barry Prewitt. Funeral is at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Patton Funeral Home, Brownsville chapel, with burial in Midway Church Cemetery. Visitation is from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and begins at 9 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. A special Masonic Service is at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the James Prewitt Memorial Fund, c/o Patton Funeral Home, P.O. Box 326, Brownsville, KY 42210.
