Louis Wetzel Yates, Sr., 64, of South Point, OH, passed away Tuesday, (April 1, 2008), at his residence. The Grayson, KY native was born December 21, 1943, the son of the late Rufus (Red) Yates and the late Pearl Matthews Yates. He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Lou Massie Yates, who passed away May 19, 1998.

He attended schools in Aid, OH. He was a former paper carrier for the Ironton Tribune and was of the Baptist faith.

He was also preceded in death by
daughter, Paula Yates;
brother, Junior Yates.

He is survived by
son and daughter-in-law, Louis Jr. and Billie Yates of South Point;
son, Tony Yates of Chesapeake;
