Joseph David Evans, 26, Vanessa Lynn Carrico Evans, 27, and Jaylein McKenzie Evans, 4, died together Sunday, Oct. 9, 2005, at their home in Seven Mile Ford.
Joey was a great dad, Vanessa a great mom and Jaylein a happy little girl, loved by everyone. Joey and Vanessa were expecting a little baby brother for Jaylein to be named Joseph Bradley Evans.
Vanessa was born in Smyth County and was preceded in death by her mother, Teresa Mae Carrico; her grandparents, Charles and Mildred Dancy and Mary "Sis" Carrico.
She was employed with Sure-Wood and was a graduate of Chilhowie High School.
Survivors include her father, Thomas Nathan Carrico; sister and brother-in-law, Valarie and Tony Russell of Chilhowie; brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles and Becky Dancy and T.J. Carrico, all of Chilhowie; grandfather, Charles H. "Jake" Carrico; mother and father-in-law, Newman Jr., and Peggy Evans of Marion; two nieces, Tana Russell and Alyson Dancy; two nephews, Brandon and Kyle Dancy.
Funeral services will be at the Bradley's Funeral Home Chapel in Marion with the Revs. Roger Frost, Gary Blackwell, Bobby Briggs and Mike Sage officiating. Interment will follow in Middle Fork Cemetery. Bradley's Funeral Home, Marion-Chilhowie is in charge of arrangements.
