Born 5 Aug 1888, Osage City, Osage Co., KS. Son of Charles G. & Emma (SWANSON) FAGER, Topeka, KS

Died from wounds 21 Nov 1918 at Base Hospital #31, Contrexéville, in the Vosges, following severe leg wounds suffered on 2 Nov in the area of the Bois de Barricourt. These injuries were sustained from machine gun fire coming from the vicinity of the town of Barricourt, which temporarily halted the northerly advance of his F Co., 354th Infantry, 89th Division.

Originally buried in French soil, remains returned to the US and re-interred in the Topeka Cemetery
