FATAL ACCIDENT SATURDAY.

The coroner's inquest of the untimely death of Ed. Dreves at J. Kaufman & Co.'s lumber yard on Saturday morning concluded on Monday afternoon and the following verdict was handed out by the jury:

"That the young man, Edward Frederick Dreves came to his death at the premises of Jacob Kaufman, lumberman, on the 10th day of Oct., 1965, at about 12 o'clock, noon, caused by a quantity of two-inch plank falling on him.

"We further find that the planks which caused the death of the deceased were piled in a dangerous way, and void of the support necessary to ensure the safety of those whose duty it might be to pass near the said piles of lumber.

"We recommend that greater care be exercised in the piling of lumber in order to ensure the safety of the employes engaged in handling the same."
