Funeral services were held Friday, Feb. 14, at Geo H. Lewis & Sons Funeral Home in Houston, Texas, for Dale Burris, 66, who died Feb. 13. The Rev. Tom Stephenson and the Rev. Scott Bowie officiated. Interment was in Memorial Oaks Cemetery. Pallbearers were L. R. Anderson, Raygin Burris, Otway Denny, Mark Ginn, Dimas Kuhl, Daniel Mahoney, Bob Treadwell and Tom Vickers. Honorary pallbearers were Harold "Red" Lindsey, Lindon Kerley and Harry Morrison.

Mr. Burris served in the United States Navy during World War II and was member of St. Albans Lodge in Columbia and the Houston Lodge #151 BPOE.

Survivors include his wife, Gary Burris; his mother, Eltimae Pierce Burris of Columbia; one daughter; two sons; and seven grandchildren.

The family requests that any memorials be made to the Hospice at the Medical Center, 1905 Holcombe Blvd., Houston, Texas, 77036.
