Mrs. Derrick, wife of the late Claude Alvin Derrick, died July 7, 2011. Born October 9, 1929, in Richland County, she was a daughter of the late Grady C. Lowman and Mary Koon Lowman Wessinger. She was a homemaker and a member of Bethel Lutheran Church. She and her husband owned Derrick's Azalea Farm, Derrick's Electrical Co. and the Christmas Elf Shop.
Surviving are her brothers, Robert D. Lowman (Christine) and Grady R. Lowman (Bonnie), all of Ballentine; granddaughter, Candice Alexandra Derrick of Lexington; nephews, Grady C. Lowman (Kim) of Irmo, Kirk Lowman of Cornelius, N.C. She was predeceased by her son, Tracy Lowman Derrick.
