A Mass of Christian Burial for Floyd Michael Meeks Sr., age 64, of Magnolia will be held on Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Christopher Plant celebrant. Interment will follow in Conroe Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Monday, July 11, 2011 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Cashner Funeral Home with a Rosary at 7 p.m.

Floyd was born January 5, 1947 in Goshen, Indiana and passed away on July 5, 2011 at his home in Magnolia, Texas. He served his country in the U. S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus of Sacred Heart. Floyd retired from the U.S. Postal Service after working there for 10 years. He later worked as a warrant officer for the Cut-n-Shoot Police department. His hobbies included membership in the motorcycle club, Father Christopher's Ride 4 Life, and hunting and fishing.

Floyd is survived by his sons, Charles Everete Meeks II of Conroe, Floyd Michael (Mike) Meeks Jr. and wife Lisa of Cleveland and William Paul (Billy) Meeks of Conroe; sisters, Sonja Soroni and husband Maurice of Tucson, Arizona and Elizabeth (Cookie) Mann and husband Terry of Cut-n-Shoot; brothers, Leonard Meeks and wife Shirley of Trinity and Phillip Meeks and wife Sue of Taylorsville; grandchildren, Cody Meeks and Colton Meeks. Numerous other extended family and friends also survive.
