Mary L. Sanders Terrell, 71, of Omaha, Neb., died Jan 2, 2002, following an extended illness.
A native of Palatka, she resided in Nebraska more than 35 years. She graduated from Central Academy High School in Palatka. She was employed by Strategic Air Command as a cook, a manager and retired after 14 years of service. She served very faithfully as a Sunday School teacher, (Robinson Memorial COGIC, Second Advent COGIC, and Grace Tabernacle COGIC) Member of Nebraska State Choir; president of Bible Truth District, Pastor's and Minister wives. She was a supporter of her husband, Pastor Robert R. Terrell's work in the ministry.
She was preceded in death by one son, Cornell Terrell, her parents, Mongolia "M.G." Sanders and Mattie Lee West; one sister, Fredia May Sanders and two brothers, William and Alfonzo Sanders.
Survivors are her husband, Pastor Robert Ray Terrell; four children; three sisters, Margie Elkins Annette (G.B.) Maxwell, both of Palatka, and Phyllis Granger-Dorsett of Miami; one brother,, James W. Sanders of Miami; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and other relatives including cousin Mother Curlease Williams.
Funeral service and interment were Tuesday, Jan 10 at Tabernacle of Faith COGIC of Omaha, Neb. Announcement by Flagg-Serenity Memorial Chapel. (Palatka Daily News Obituary dtd 17 Jan 2002.)
