CROSSETT - Virgil "Doc" Trotter, 85, of Crossett, died January 5, 2002, at Ashley County Medical Center at Crossett.
Born June 26, 1916, at Monticello, he was the son of the late Jefferson Willson Trotter and Belle Burnett Trotter.
He was a retired farmer and plywood mill worker.
He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Stever Trotter, one son, Gary Trotter of Killeen, Texas; three daughters, Dolores Eastwood of Florence, Wisconsin, and Rosemary Fryer and Bonnie Crain, both of Crossett, eight grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
Funeral services will be today at 3 p.m. at Stephenson Dearman Funeral Home of Monticello with the Rev. Norman Riordan and teh Re. Wayne Hoppers officiating. Burial will be in Campground Cemetery.
