MARLETTE CROUSE DIES AT HOSPITAL
Had Been at the Syracuse Memorial Since June 7.

Marlette Crouse, formerly assistant manager of the Crouse Grocery Company and nephew of the late Charles E. Crouse, died last night at Syracuse Memorial Hospital, where he was admitted June 7.
His death, caused from heart disease, was within 48 hours of that of Mrs. Charles E. Crouse, whose body was brought here last night from New York, where she was killed in a fall from a hotel window.
Mr. Crouse was born Sept 18, 1884, the son of George N. Crouse and Florence Marlette Crouse. He was educated at St. John's Military Academy, Andover and Yale.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Rena Brunning Crouse. They were married Jan. 22, 1923. Mrs. Crouse was the wife of Harold E. Eddy, lifelong friend of Mr. Crouse. Mr. Eddy died Jan. 11, 1923. Mr. Crouse's former wife, Mrs. Betty Warner Scott, died a year earlier.
He is also survived by his brother, George Nellis Crouse, and two sisters, Mrs. Florence Beecher Crouse Clark and Mrs. Laura Crouse Durston. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and lived at 708 James Street.
Mr. Crouse was a special legatee under terms of his uncle's will, receiving the income from a trust fund and the bequest of some of Mr. Crouse's jewelry besides a share with the other nephews and nieces. When his uncle died Mr. Crouse was in the Hospital of the Good Shepherd here. He had been ill several years and withdrew from business two months ago.
Mr. Crouse's funeral will be tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at 980 James Street, the Rev. Herbert G. Coddington officiating and a vocal quartet assisting in the service. Interment will be in the Charles E. Crouse mausoleum in Oakwood Cemetery.
