Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Rock Island, where he was a member for 53 years. Entombment is in Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum, Rock Island, where Moline American Legion Post 246 will present military honors.
Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Wheelan Funeral Home, Rock Island, where a rosary will be recited at 7:30. Memorials may be made to the church.
Mr. Casillas was born Jan. 15, 1923, in Horton, Kan., the son of Francisco and Andrea Martinez Casillas. He married Jessie Fonseca Jan. 26, 1944, in Bettendorf.
Frank had worked as a machinist for the Rock Island Railroad, Silvis, for 39 years, until its closing. He then worked for the Rock Island Arsenal, retiring in 1983.
He was a World War II Navy veteran, having served in the Pacific. He was a member of Moline American Legion 246, AARP, life member of the Machinist Union Local 1191, NCPSS, CUB and the Quad City Times Plus 60.
Survivors include his wife, Jessie; daughter and son-in-law, Andrea and Ross Hein, San Diego; sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Jaclyn Casillas, Lake Forest, Calif., Steven and Mary Ann Casillas, La Mesa, Calif., and Joe and Nancy Casillas and Mark Casillas, all of Rock Island; granddaughters, Jessica and Taryin Casillas, La Mesa; half-brothers, Ronald and Harold Casillas, Tucson, Ariz.; a half-sister, Mary Alice Zawadzke, in Indiana; his close cousin and her husband, Cora and John Vallejo, Rock Island; and numerous out-of-state cousins. His parents preceded him in death.
He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be dearly missed.
