John and wife Ann, are both buried near a stream, behind thier home he built on his property, at Carter Hollow, outside Linden, TN. Recent as the 1990s, their log cabin he built prior to the Civil War, was still standing upon our visit there at the time. He used thick timbers from his own trees, to build their home. They had 7 children: Emily - born 1844, Jesse S-1845, Jemima Diane-1847, Dona Jane-1848, William J-1851, John A-1853 & Victoria Ann Carter Turnbow in 1855.
