NORFOLK - Rose M. Owen, 80, passed away May 10, 2011. A native of Hollis, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Victor and Clotilda DeMartini. She was a devoted wife and mother. She was a longtime member of St. John Lutheran Church, having served on the Diakonia and Worship and Music committees. She also served 10 years as the nursery coordinator and was currently serving as congregational archivist. Mrs. Owen is survived by her loving husband, James W. Owen; her daughter, Deborah Ann Lovvorn and her husband Al; and her son, James W. Owen Jr. She was predeceased by her daughter, Linda Marie Drake. A funeral will be conducted Friday at 1 p.m. at St. John Lutheran Church with Pastor Keith Olivier officiating. The burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, today from 7 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. John Lutheran Church.
