A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late Mr. John William Capps, and the daughter of Mr. Frank Allred and Mrs. Daisy Pearl Allred, both deceased. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Daisy A. Matkins of Greensboro and Mrs. Rose Marie Peacemaker of Reidsville; two sons, Mr. Daniel Curtis Capps of Swepsonville and Mr. Donald Ray Capps of Mebane; 11 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Mr. Johnny Arthur Capps and Mr. Leroy Capps.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at Baynes Baptist Church by the Rev. Larry McCarty, pastor. The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes before the service. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will be at Rich and Thompson Mortuary in Burlington from 7 to 9 this evening and at other times at the home of Mr. Donald Ray Capps, 92 Capps-Gunn Drive, Mebane.
