Louisa Maria S. Siler Laid At Rest

Funeral services for Louisa Maria Stevens Siler, age 75, were held Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m. in the Orderville chapel, with Joseph Bolander of the bishopric in charge. Mrs. Siler passed away at her home Wednesday afternoon, August 13, of heart and high blood pressure. She was born at Shonesburg, Washington County Utah, January 27, 1895. Her parents, Ezra and Edith Stevens, with their children, were pioneers to this part of the country. She married Andrew Siler at the McDonald's Ranch on March 25, 1895. She lived at Pipe Springs, and Canaan, in Arizona and Rockville, Utah. Mrs. Siler worked in the Primary, MIA, and as Relief Society teacher. She donated to the Missionaries, and the various charitable organizations and for the European countries. She also wrote to the missionaries and soldiers who were away from home.
Mrs. Siler is survived by the following children: Mrs. Ina Crosby and Findlay Siler of Manila, Utah, and Mrs. Isobel Crofts and Carl Siler of Orderville. Several children proceeded her in death. She also has the following brothers and sisters: Hyrum Stevens, American Fork, Utah; Mrs. Abbie Probst, Rupert, Idaho; Joseph Stevens, Fredonia, Arizona; Edith Johnson, Glendale, California; and David W.P. Stevens, Mt. Carmel, Utah. She had 17 grandchildren.
The following services were held: song by choir, "Shall We Meet Beyond the River", Prayer by Edward Lamb, of Mt. Carmel; Vocal solo, by Lasca Chamberlain; "Lay My Head Beneath A Rose"; Speaker Bishop Binnie H. Sorenson; Speaker, Osmer lamb of Mt. Carmel; Vocal Duet Luvera Spencer and Verna Holgate; Sentiments by Hester Heaton; Speaker, President Charles C. Heaton of Moccasin, Arizona; Song, by Choir, "Sometime We'll Understand". Benediction, by Edward Carroll. The grave was dedicated by Squire E. Hepworth. Pall Bearers were LeRoy Crofts, Squire E. Hepworth, Maughn and Obra Crofts, LeGrand Robinson and ack L. Siler. Mrs. Christie Muliner and Belya Lamb were in charge of the flower girls.
