John Eberhardt, retired Manitowoc County farmer, died Friday morning at the
home of a son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Eberhardt, Rt. 4,
Manitowoc, following a lingering illness. He was 83.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at the First German Evang-
elical Lutheran Church, the Rev. L. H. Koeninger officiating. Burial will be
in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Eberhardt was born Nov. 5, 1871, in the Town of Newton where he farmed
until retirement. In 1895 he married Louise Waack who died in 1906, and in 1909
he married Adeline Rahmlow. She died in 1944.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Walter Waegli of Kewaunee and Mrs.
Norman Berge and Mrs. Edwin Leide of Manitowoc; a son, Harry of Rt. 4, Manitowoc;
two sisters, Miss Augusta and Miss Anna of Manitowoc; seven grandchildren and
three great grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Urbanek and Schlei Funeral home after noon Sunday until
10 a.m. Monday when the casket will be moved to the church where the body will
lie in state until the hour of service.
