Suggested edit: The funeral of James C. (Jim) Johnson, aged 64, who died at 12:10 p.m. Saturday at his home on Rt. 6, Greeneville was held at two p.m. today at River Hill EUB Church. Rev. M.L. Bowman, Rev. Z.C. Zuillen and Rev. Hubert Morrison conducted the services.

Active pallbearers were Clifford Jones, Freddie Overbay, Ronnie Overbay, Gary Ottinger, Fred Wills, and Bobby Bible. Honorary pallbearers were Roy Hensley, Carl Johnson, Alf Johnson, LeRoy Johnson, Claude Looney, Bud Looney, John Fann, Henry Dunham, Lee Smith, Joe Roberts, Elgin Brown, Ezra Looney, Bobby Harmon, and Les Crum.

Flower bearers were Mrs. Ross Collins, Mrs. Eula Harmon, Mrs. Margaret Crum, Mrs. Bob Potter, Myrtle Williams, Clearcy Harrison, Pearl Lawing, Bonnie Lou Hensley, Iva Sane, Martha Ella Brown, Bobby Brown, Mrs. Ellison Fillers, Ellen Darnell, Lona Armitage, Selma Looney, Mattie Marshall, Sally Johnson, and Arnada Johnson.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Viola Sauceman Johnson. He was married in 1919 to Ruby Newberry and to this union was born three children, who also survive him. They are Ray Johnson of Bristol, Mrs. Isabel Swingle of Jonesboro and Bobby Johnson of Sharon, Pa. Other survivors are six grandchildren, one great-grandchild; one brother, T.A. Johnson and three sisters, Mrs. Hannah Hensley, Mrs. Lula Bowman and Mrs. Julia Looney all of Greene County.

Mr. Johnson a retired farmer will not only be missed in the home but in the community. Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home was in charge.
