Lola was the oldest daughter of William Preston Boyd (1831-1924) and Harriet "Hattie" Lavina (Echols) Boyd (1857-1937).
She married George E. Caldwell in Welch, WV on Dec. 14, 1904.

Lola S. Caldwell Dies In Hospital
MULLENS (RNS) - Mrs. Lola Sadie Caldwell, 78, of Parkersburg, formerly of Mullens, died Sunday morning in a Parkersburg hospital after a long illness. She was a resident of Wyoming County for 47 years, having lived for the past eight years in Parkersburg. She was a member of the Union Methodist Church at Maben. Survivors include five sons, J. K. of Oresville, Calif., and Delmas D., Alton, George Randolph and Corbett Ray, all of Mullens; four daughters, Mrs. Leona Crawford, Mrs. Lula May McCoy, both of Parkersburg, Mrs. Helen Richardson of Newport News, Va., and Mrs. Velma Eddy of Reedsville, Pa.; 21 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. The body is at Robertson and Foglesong Funeral Home in Mullens. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.

Morrison will be in charge of the services to be held at the First Presbyterian Church in Mullens. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park, Beckley. Pallbearers will be Ted Robinette, Stuart Houck, Rodney Davis, Roy Dewey, George Biggs and W.H. Bailey. The body will remain at Robertson and Foglesong Funeral Home in Mullens and will be taken to the church one hour prior to the funeral. (RNS)
