Angie passed into the larger life Saturday, June 18, 2011.
She was born on April 12, 1938, in Lynchburg, Virginia, to Louise Burnett Morgan and Benjamin Thomas Morgan.
She graduated from E.C. Glass High School and Randolph Macon Woman's College, both in Lynchburg. She was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority. Upon graduation, in 1960, she married V.O. "Jack" Robertson, III and moved to Columbia.
Angie was involved at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral as a Sunday school teacher, kitchen helper, co-chairperson of the bazaar, President of the Daughters of the Holy Cross, chairperson of the Altar Guild and served on the Vestry.
Angie was an active alumna of her beloved college, recently serving as class agent.
She enjoyed playing tennis, card games, reading, and time spent at the beach. Most importantly, Angie loved her family and her many friends. She loved to laugh and have fun. She will be remembered for her quick wit and outgoing nature.
Angie is survived by her husband, Jack; three children, Elizabeth Wynne and her husband, Pat, of Midlothian, Virginia, Cole Lubkin and her husband, Walter, of Beaufort; V.O. "Rob" Robertson IV and his wife, Meredith, of Columbia; five grandchildren, Patrick, Jack, and Luke Wynne, Ben Lubkin and McRae Robertson, who knew her as "Grammy". Angie is also survived by her sister, Martha Ann Boyd and her husband, Bob, of Alexandria, Virginia; a nephew, Ben Jones; and a niece, Amy Jones.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 22, 2011, at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 23, 2011, at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral. Interment will take place in the columbarium. There will be a reception following the service in Satterlee Hall.
