Dale Leonard Dean, 78 of Magnolia, Arkansas passed away Friday, October 20, 2006 at Magnolia City Hospital.

He was born September 18, 1928 in Sarepta, Louisiana to the late Sidney Allen and Eva Lois (Leonard) Dean. He attended Louisiana Missionary Baptist Institute, was a retired Baptist Minister, and a member of College View Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Johnny Dean.

He is survived by his wife Margie Dean of Magnolia, Arkansas; three sons, Larry Dean and his wife Greta of Nesbit, Mississippi, Tony Dean and his wife Carolyn of Elysian Fields, Texas, Roger Dean of Shreveport, Louisiana; one daughter, Lois Sluss and her husband Larry of Roswell, Georgia; two step-sons, Lloyd Burchfield and his wife Bella of Berwick, Louisiana, Stan Burchfield and his wife Sonia of Navarre Beach, Florida; two sisters, LynDell Williamson and her husband Paul of Reynolds Station, Kentucky, Ruthie Blevins and her husband Don of Nederland, Texas; one brother, Jimmy Dean and his wife Nita Lynn of Shreveport, Louisiana; eight grandchildren, three step grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Monday, October 23, 2006 at 10:00 am at Lewis Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Charlie Warren and Bro. Richard Walters officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. Visitation will be Sunday evening from 6:00 to 9:00 pm at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to College View Baptist Church.

Pallbearers will be Nathan Dean, Timothy Dean, B.L. Powers, Travis Starr, Donald O'Glee, and Bubba Wells.
