ALEDO - Ira M. Brown, 84, of Joy died at 4:07 this morning in the Mercer county hospital where he had been a patient since he was brought from Moline Lutheran hospital three weeks ago.
The body is at the Sherrard funeral home here where short services in the Methodist church at 2 o'clock with the Rev. E. N. Wisley officiating. Burial will be in Ohio Grove cemetery.
Mr. Brown always had lived in Mercer county, His first marriage was to Mary Litzenberger who died. His second marriage was to Sarah E. Higgins Sept. 23, 1897. They were parents of five children who survive.

Aledo - Funeral services for Ira Brown, 83, of Joy, retired Mercer county farmer who died Monday in Mercer county hospital were yesterday afternoon in the Sherrard funeral chapel, Aledo, and later in the Aledo Methodist church with the Rev. E. N. Wisely, pastor, officiating. Interment was in Ohio Grove cemetery. Pallbearers were Dale, Ernest and Ray McCaw, Ray, Roy and Herman Brown.
