Hettie married R. T. Coffey after Dr. Lamont died. Both husbands preceded her in death.

Survivors were two daughters, Italene Summers of Jacksonville, Mada Harris of West Frankfort; five sons, Elma Lamont of Collinsville, Ray Lamont, Fletcher Lamont, P.S. Lamont and William W. Lamont all of West Frankfort; 17 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Ray Barbee of Mount Vernon.
