Rebecca was the daughter of Charles Harrison Walpole and Frances P. Clements. She married John Nance Garner, II, 3 January 1833, Rutherford Co., Tenneesee. He died in Tenneessee. After the death of her father, she moved her family to Blossom Prairie, Texas, in a covered wagon where her brother Thomas lived. Their children were William Harrison Garner, Frances Catherine Garner, Mary Elizabeth Cornell, Louisa Rebecca Guillion, John Nance Garner III, and Charles B. Garner.
