Frank W. Skluzacek funeral services at New Market

Funeral services for Frank W. Skluzacek were held at the Church of St. Nicholas, New Market, with burial in the parish cemetery on Thursday, March 3. Time of the funeral was 10:00 a.m.

Father George Skluzacek, son of the deceased, was celebrant of the Solemn Requiem High Mass. Father Stanley Skluzacek, nephew, was deacon, Father Alfred Skluzacek, cousin, sub-deacon, Father Richard Skluzacek, cousin, was first master of ceremonies and Father L. .A. Hirman second master of ceremonies. Other priests present in the sanctuary were Father Renz, Father Blats, Father Schnitzuis, Father Jenniges, Father Conroy, Father Brown, Father Holl and Father Zweber. Members of the Catholic Workman of New Prague and the auxiliary members of the Legion of Mary were among those in attendance at the funeral.
Pallbearers were sons, Frank, Andrew, James and Joseph, and nephews, James Skluzacek from Crystal Lake, Ill., and Bohumil Krenik, Le Center.

Mr. Skluzacek was born at New Prague to Wenceslaus and Elizabeth Skluzacek on April 6, 1883. He married Agnes H. Bouda at Bechyn on June 8, 1909. The couple farmed at New Prague until 1931, when they moved to the farm near New Market.
His parents are deceased, Mrs. Skluzacek died April 26, 1958, and one son died in infancy. He was also preceded in death by his sisters and brother, Sister Wenceslaus, O. S. F, who died 60 years ago, Rev. W. J. Skluzacek who died in 1948, Mrs. Elizabeth Malecha, in 1955, and Mrs. Mary Krenik, in 1959.

Frank W. Skluzacek died of a heart condition at the farm home in rural New Market at about 4:00 a.m. Monday, February 29. He had been ill about a year and a half.

Surviving Mr. Skluzacek are five sons and three daughters, twins Andrew and Frank, and Josephine of New Market, Mrs. Mary Seurer and Joseph of Prior Lake, James at Jordan, Father George Skluzacek of North St. Paul and Sister Menna, Racine, Wis.; 13 grandchildren; one brother Joseph W. Skluzacek of New Prague; and a sister, Sister Wenceslaus, in Milwaukee, Wis.
