Mrs. Susan Baker.
At 7:30 o'clock Wednesday morning Mrs. Susan Baker died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. William Halen in Pittsburg, aged 74 years and 6 months. Three weeks ago the deceased had just returned from a visit made to her sister, Mrs. Mary Isenberg, 904 Fourth avenue, when she tripped while crossing the floor of a room In the home of her daughter, Mrs. Halen, and falling, dislocated her left hip. Her advanced age was one element against her recovery, but another one was that she had been stricken with paralysis several years before, and this left her in a delicate condition. She was given all the care and attention possible, but her life could not be saved and the end came. The deceased was the widow of Jacob Baker and until about three years ago had resided at Water Street Huntingdon county. Surviving her are two daughters and two sons: Mossine and John, of Altoona; Mrs. William Halen, of Pittsburg, and Mrs. George Williams, of Altoona. She also leaves a brother and sister Mrs. Mary Isenberg, of this city, and Daniel Shaffer, of Ligonier, Westmoreland county. She was a member of the Lutheran church. The interment will be made in the Lutheran cemetery at Water Street on Friday, the remains leaving this city on the 8:05 train on that morning.
