Samuel Wallace Clark, 65, retired construction and explosive powder employee of the city of Idaho Falls for 35 years, died at an Idaho Falls hospital following a lingering illness. He had retired Jan. 15, 1962.

He was born Jan. 15, 1897, at Sullivan, Ind., son of Alexander C. and Cora Myrta Mckenney Clark.

He moved to Tennessee in 1913 and was married to Fannie Harris, July 15, 1915 at Lawrence County. They moved to Ucon and a few years later moved to Idaho Falls. Before becoming a city employee he was a roofer and an employee of the US SForest Service at Salmon.

He is survived by his widow and four sons and a daughter, Albert M. Clark, Hawthorne, Nev.; Lester W. Clark, Rigby, Mrs. Fielding (Virginia) Abbott, Phoenix, Ariz.; Earl Clark, Idaho Falls and Leroy Clark, Blackfoot.

Eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren survive and four sisters and three brothers, Mrs. Mae Keller, Shelburn, Ind.; Mrs. Cassie Bushaw, Detroit, Mich.; Mrs. Roy HOffman, Evansville, Ind.; Mrs. Paul Mann, Bakersfield, Calif; Herbert Clark, Toledo, Ohio; Nathan Clark, Lawrenceburg, Tenn.; and Orville Clark, Summer Town, Tenn.

He was preceded in death by a son, Henry, who died Dec. 28, 1964, and also another son.
