Elsie Catherine Kilpatrick (nee Bauman), 86, passed away Wednesday, November 11, 2009, at Life Care Center of Elyria, following a short illness. She was born February 28,1923 in Akron.

Elsie was a Lorain High School graduate, Class of 1941B and was rated 4th in her class academically. Elsie proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corp during World War II. She was a member of V.F.W Post 1079.

She was also an accomplished artist, an avid bridge player and was inducted into the Who's Who of Ohio Bridge Assoc. and enjoyed dancing. She was a loyal, patriotic American who was devoted to her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include sons, Patrick M. Kilpatrick (Holly) of Amherst, Thomas H. Kilpatrick (Patricia) of Ravenna and Kerry C. Kilpatrick of Grafton. She is also survived by six
grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brothers, Ralph "Bert" Bauman of Avon Lake and Edward Bauma n of Greensboro, North Carolina.

Elsie was preceded in death by her parents, Henry E. and Clara (nee Haehner) Bauman and a sister, Lillian Schaeffer.

Friends may call Sunday, November 15, 2009 from 1 to 4 P.M at The BauerLaubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home. 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria, (440) 322-4626.

Funeral services will be private. Burial will be at Brownhelm Township Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family strongly suggests memorial
