FORMER SPICER MAN, CHESTER HOVEY, DIES AT 79
Chester B. Hovey, 79, formerly of Spicer, died Tuesday evening at the Christian Nursing and Living Center in Willmar where he had resided for the past two years.
Funeral services were held Friday at the First Lutheran church of Norway Lake with the Rev. Allan Bjorklund officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery.
The Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar was in charge of arrangements.
Surviving are his wife, Claries, who resides at the Christian Nursing and Living Center; three daughters, Mrs. Ed (Audrey) Maness of Hopkins, Mrs. Melvin (Thelma) Strom of Shakopee, and Mrs. Fred (Charlotte) Hovey of Denver, Colorado; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are two brothers, Peter of Shakopee and Herbert of Belview, Arkansas; and one sister, Mrs. Agnes Wigen of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin.
