Mrs. Nelson was born Sept. 26, 1899 in the Town of Maple Grove to Mary and John Timblin. She grew up in Barron and graduated from Barron High School in 1916. On Feb. 14, 1930, she married Ray Peck at Barron. He preceded her in death. She later married John Nelson, who also preceded her in death.
Other than a year spent in Wyoming, she lived her entire life in Barron. She worked for many years as deputy treasurer in the Barron County Treasurer's office. She was a former member of the Barron Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Barron.
Mrs. Nelson is survived by a son, Myron Peck of White Bear Lake, Minn.,; a daughter, Karen Thomas of Logan, Utah; six grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. [Wednesday, November 23, 1994, Rice Lake Chronotype, Rice Lake, Wisconsin.]
