The daughter of Lazarus and Anna Catherina (Lauck) Wenger.

She married about 1775 to Jabetz Weiser, son of Philip and Sophia (Reim) Weiser.

Jabetz served as private from 1777 to 1780 in the American Revolution in Capt. Womelsdorf's Company from Berks Co. He took the oath of allegiance 22 Jun 1778.

Jabetz and Mary, along with Jabetz's one surviving sibling, Conrad, farmed the land he inherited from his father and brother. The farm consisted of about 180 acres just outside of Womelsdorf.

Jacob and Mary were listed on the 1790 Berks Co., PA, Heidelberg Dist., census under the name Jacob Weiser.
This census shows them with one white male over 16 (Jabetz), four white males under 16, and three white females, which exactly matches the family they had by that time.

Jabetz is not listed on the 1810 or 1820 censuses under his own name. It looks like he and Maria were living with their son Solomon in 1810.

Jabetz was blind for several years before his death.

Excerpt from "The Weiser Family: A Genealogy of the Family of John Conrad Weiser the Elder (d. 1746)" by the John Conrad Weiser Family Association, 1960.
"He divided his inheritance with his brother John Conrad Weiser, which left him a farm of 179 acres just south of Womelsdorf. One of the buildings there bore his name as recently as 1923. On three occasions, in 1818 and 1823, he and his wife sold small sections of this farm, and in later years they retired to the town of Womelsdorf.
Due to the fact that Jabetz's will was somewhat irregularly written, and that one of his grandsons entered a caveat against its probation, an extensive disposition describing his condition at the time of his death was made by Evan McConnell, a relative and neighbor, who had written the will October 28, 1828, as Jabetz dictated in German. McConnell said that he had been called to Jabetz's house to write the will by George Eichelberner, in the presence of Eichelberner, his wife, and Mrs. Mengel, both daughters of Jabetz. He further related that Jabetz lived in Womelsdorf, no longer tending to his farm; that he kept to his bed sometimes, but sometimes was up; that he had a wound in his side. Eichelberner attended to Jabetz's business, since he was sick, blind, and somewhat hard of hearing. "I think he was possessed of his right mind at the time he made his will," McConnell concluded. 'I lived nearly opposite across the street. Jabetz Weiser was called my uncle, and was related to my mother… the old man said nothing against Philip's children," (who had entered the caveat, because they were not given an equal share in the estate).
The pleas of those grandchildren was not accepted, and Eichelberner and Henry Lewars (another son-in-law) were named executors, since the will had designated none. The estate lingered after the property was sold and Joel B. Warner, an attorney, was appointed executor on April 27, 1855, to close the estate, although the heirs had signed releases to Lewars on November 8, 1842."

Jabetz died in 1829 and was buried in Zion Lutheran cemetery. Maria died in 1835 and was buried by his side.
